6-12 Month Fixed Term Contract
If your favourite part of HR is delivering meaningful change rather than managing day-to-day employee relations, this could be exactly the challenge you're looking for.
PTSG Group has grown at an incredible pace through acquisition, bringing together more than 40 specialist businesses across five divisions. That growth has created opportunity, but also complexity.
Different terms and conditions. Different contracts. Different pay structures. Different benefits. Different ways of working.
We're now looking for an experienced HR professional to help bring greater consistency, compliance and simplicity across the Group by delivering a series of high-impact HR projects.
This isn't a business-as-usual HR role.
You'll work alongside senior leaders and our wider HR team to lead projects that will shape the future of our people function while supporting one of the UK's fastest-growing specialist service businesses.
What You'll Be Working On
No two weeks will be the same, but projects are likely to include:
- IR35 compliance and governance
- Introduction of a Group-wide pay grading structure
- Employment contract consolidation and standardisation
- TUPE transfers
- HR support for mergers and acquisitions
- Policy harmonisation
- Terms and conditions reviews
- Organisational change initiatives
- Continuous improvement across HR processes
You'll take ownership of projects from planning through to delivery, working closely with HR colleagues, Legal, Finance and senior operational stakeholders to make sure they land successfully.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We're Looking For Someone Who...
You're an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys variety and solving problems.
Rather than specialising in one particular area of HR, you've built a broad generalist background and are comfortable moving between projects involving change, compliance, organisational design, acquisitions, consultation and employment legislation.
You'll probably have:
- Significant HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor background
- Strong project delivery skills
- Solid knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Previous involvement in acquisitions, TUPE or organisational change
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- The ability to balance detail with commercial thinking
- CIPD 7 qualified
Most importantly, you'll enjoy rolling your sleeves up and getting involved. This isn't a role where you'll simply advise—you'll help deliver.
What You'll Get
- Initial 6-month fixed term contract
- Strong possibility of extension beyond the initial term
- Opportunity to influence Group-wide change
- Exposure to high-profile strategic projects
- Hybrid working
- Supportive HR leadership team
