Be the trusted HR voice that makes a real difference.
We're looking for an experienced, confident HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team at IBC Healthcare. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on building genuine relationships, solving problems on the ground, and delivering commercially astute, legally sound HR support across a fast-paced, values-led care organisation.
If you're a solutions-focused HR professional who understands the realities of frontline services and wants to make a tangible impact, we'd love to hear from you.
About The Role
As HR Business Partner, you'll take full ownership of the employee relations caseload, lead on complex and high-risk cases, and provide expert guidance across the full people agenda, from absence and probation management to reward, retention, policy, and compliance.
Working closely with our Director of People & Culture, you'll ensure every aspect of HR activity is legally compliant, commercially focused, and aligned to our values.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full oversight of the ER caseload, leading on complex, sensitive, and high-risk cases
- Oversee suspension decisions, DBS referrals, and Employment Tribunal claims
- Coach and guide HR colleagues, identifying trends and escalating emerging risks
- Manage probation reviews and sickness absence processes, intervening on complex cases
- Partner with services facing high absence, agency reliance, or retention challenges
- Produce HR reports and metrics that translate data into clear workforce insight
- Lead on exit interview analysis, contributing to our 20% turnover reduction target
- Develop and oversee compliant consultation and restructuring processes
- Support Right to Work, DBS, and sponsorship licence compliance
- Coach and train managers on HR policy, investigations, hearings, and performance
- Support policy development, reward benchmarking, and the annual HR cycle

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
