HR Business Partner

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our UK HR team on a Fixed Term Contract, providing dedicated support to our Launceston site within the UK Packaging division.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, this role has been created to provide additional, on-site HR capability, ensuring strong day-to-day support for leaders and employees. As a visible HR presence on site, you will act as a point of contact for all HR-related matters.

You will work closely with site leadership to provide pragmatic, solution-focused HR advice, helping to embed good people practices, maintain engagement and ensure clear, consistent communication.

Using your experience and judgement, you will coach and support leaders across a range of people topics, including change management, employee engagement, performance and talent, and employee relations. You will be a trusted advisor, comfortable handling complex and sensitive situations, driving best practice and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and employment legislation.

This is a great opportunity for an HR Business Partner who enjoys being close to the business, making a tangible impact, and bringing calm, confident HR support to a site environment.

About you

Minimum requirements:

  • Experience of operating as a HR Business Partner in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of coaching managers in delivering HR related activities
  • Up to date, comprehensive knowledge of HR best practice and employment legislation
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Resilient, organised and analytical with a positive and confident approach to problem solving.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Tools – particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience ideally in Manufacturing, FMCG, or Logistics

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
