HR Consultant

Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire (Office-Based with Hybrid Flexibility)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Director of Operations

About VE3:

VE3 is a fast-growing technology consultancy delivering digital transformation, cloud, AI, data, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and managed services to public and private sector organizations across the UK.

People are at the heart of our success. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced HR Consultant who is passionate about creating exceptional employee experiences while ensuring our people practices support business growth, compliance, and operational excellence.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a dynamic SME environment where they can influence strategy while remaining hands-on across the full employee lifecycle.

The Role:

As the HR Consultant, you will be the primary HR advisor to managers and employees across the business. You will provide practical, commercially focused HR guidance, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation while supporting recruitment, employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and employee engagement.

This is a varied role requiring someone who is equally comfortable advising senior leaders, managing complex employee relations matters, improving HR processes, and supporting day-to-day HR operations.

Requirements

General HR Support:

  • Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, probation, and offboarding.
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters, and HR correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Assist with employee benefits administration and HR reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
