Role Profile

The HR Data Analyst plays a key role in delivering high-quality people data, insights, and reporting to support strategic decision making across the organisation. The role focuses on developing robust data analysis, reporting, and governance practices across the full employee lifecycle, enabling the People team and business leaders to make informed, evidence-based decisions.

While the primary focus of the role is broader people analytics, the role also provides analytical support across reward activities, including Gender Pay Gap reporting, remuneration benchmarking, and annual pay review processes.

The role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for a range of stakeholders.

Please note that this role is a 12-month fixed-term contract and can be based out of either our Leeds, Nottingham, or Edinburgh office.

Key Responsibilities

People Data & Analytics

  • Produce regular and ad hoc people reports for senior stakeholders, including Board and Executive Committee
  • Analyse workforce data to identify trends and insights across areas such as recruitment, retention, diversity, performance, and engagement
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks to improve visibility of key people metrics
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance across HR systems and reporting outputs
  • Support continuous improvement of data processes, reporting capabilities, and automation

Reward Analytics

  • Support delivery of statutory Gender Pay Gap reporting, including data validation, analysis, and narrative development
  • Contribute to remuneration benchmarking activities using external salary data
  • Provide analytical support for the annual pay review process, including data preparation, modelling, and scenario analysis
  • Support benefits data analysis and provider reviews

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
