HR Director
HR Director (Global People & TalentLeadership Role) – United Kingdom (Partner Company Recruitment)
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to build, shape, and lead an entirely new Global People function at an exciting scale-up phase. In this highly autonomous role, you will:
- Define and execute a global HR strategy aligned with rapid international expansion.
- Implement modern people processes and systems that support multi-region, tech-driven growth.
- Act as a strategic partner to executive leadership while executing hands-on HR policies, leveraging AI and automation to enhance efficiency.
- Foster a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities
Building Global People Operations
- Develop a comprehensive People strategy that supports rapid international expansion and aligns workforce planning with business objectives.
- Identify and automate key HR processes (recruitment, performance management, engagement, and offboarding) using data and AI-driven tools.
- Implement and scalable HR systems across all regions, ensuring compliance and alignment with global standards.
Talent & Culture Leadership
- Spearhead global recruitment frameworks, including hiring workflows, interview processes, manager enablement, and talent assessment methodologies.
- Lead creation of transparent grading, compensation, and performance tools such as OKRs, performance reviews, and career development pathways.
- Cultivate a performance-driven culture focused on ownership, collaboration, and exploitation of growth opportunities.

HR Process Design & Optimization
- Conduct a full audit of current HR operations, identifying deficiencies and opportunities for workflow automation and efficiency.
- Design HR analytics dashboards to measure KPIs for hiring efficiency, talent retention, employee engagement, and workforce effectiveness.
- Seek, onboard, and optimize modern HR technology (HRIS, ATS, workflow automation) to streamline operations.
People Team Leadership
- Mentor and lead a high-performing People & Talent team, fostering leadership within managers.
- Coach leadership on talent strategy, team development, and performance management.
- Establish child teams in multi-region HR management, EoR collaboration, and payroll complexities.
Requirements
Experience & Leadership
- 5–7+ years leading HR or People Operations, with a track record of building HR from the ground up in a high-growth startup or scale-up context.
- Expertise in FinTech, Crypto, high-growth SaaS, or multi-regional technology sectors is essential.
- Comfortable scaling teams, particularly in organizations growing from ~50 to >200 employees.
- Proven ability to manage distributed teams and adapt to multiregional employment models (Employer of Record, multi-country compliance).
Business Acumen & Strategy
- Strong combination of long-term People strategy and executive hands-on operations.
- Proficient in data-driven decision making — use of metrics, HR analytics, and performance dashboards.
- Effectively work with CEOs, C-level leadership, and other decision-makers to influence HR strategy.

Technical & Language Proficiency
- Fluency in Ukrainian or Russian (post equivalent).
- Intermediate or advanced English proficiency (daily working language).
- Experience leveraging AI, automation tools, and HR technologies to streamline processes.
- Willingness to work remotely across European time zones under a business-to-business contract.
