HR Director

Fella & Jones are delighted to be partnering with a globally recognised Retail brand to recruit an experienced HR Director.
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the Human Resources agenda across the business. Combining strategic leadership with operational excellence, you will partner with senior stakeholders to deliver best-in-class people practices that support business performance, employee engagement, and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across the Retail Portfolio
- Drive the annual talent review and succession planning process.
- Partner with senior leaders on performance management, talent development, and annual compensation reviews.
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, employment law, and all Human Resources matters, ensuring an exceptional employee experience.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across both Creative and Commercial functions.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives that strengthen culture and enhance retention.
- Develop and deliver learning and development programmes to support leadership capability and employee growth.
- Drive initiatives that promote positive employee relations, effective communication, and an inclusive workplace culture.
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR team.

About You
You'll be a commercially minded HR leader with:
- Graduate calibre and CIPD qualified (Level 7 or equivalent preferred).
- Significant senior-level Human Resources experience within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Strong expertise across recruitment, employee relations, organisational development, performance management, and talent strategy.
- Excellent knowledge of UK employment law.
- Proven experience partnering with senior leadership teams and influencing business decisions.
- Previous people management experience with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience within luxury fashion, retail, or consumer brands would be advantageous but is not essential.
