PBSC Ltd is a specialist manufacturer of bespoke containment and cleanroom equipment supplied to pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, and research sectors worldwide.

The business is entering a significant growth phase over the next 36 months and expects to recruit a large number of skilled engineering and manufacturing personnel. To support this, we are seeking an experienced HR & Engineering Recruitment Specialist to manage recruitment and support wider HR activities.

Role Overview

This is a key part-time role focused on sourcing, screening, and securing skilled engineering candidates, alongside supporting day-to-day HR processes.

The role would suit someone seeking flexible hours, potentially around school times, with a mix of home and office working. Regular time on site will be important to understand the business, engage with teams, and represent PBSC to candidates.

You will work closely with management to understand staffing needs, build candidate pipelines, reduce reliance on agencies, and support HR processes including onboarding, records, absence tracking, and employee administration.

This is a proactive role requiring recruitment experience, ideally within engineering or manufacturing, combined with practical HR support.

Key Recruitment Responsibilities

  • Work with managers to understand recruitment needs
  • Recruit for engineering and manufacturing roles (fitters, engineers, welders, fabricators, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain a recruitment plan aligned to growth
  • Write and manage job adverts
  • Source candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and networks
  • Screen candidates and assess suitability, experience, and fit
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines
  • Coordinate interviews and support hiring decisions
  • Maintain recruitment records and tracking
  • Reduce reliance on agencies and manage external partners where needed
  • Support employer branding and candidate experience
  • Track recruitment performance (time-to-hire, cost, quality, retention)

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
