Your new company

Our client is a manufacturing and engineering business headquartered in Poole, Dorset. It specialises in the design, manufacture, installation and support of equipment used in the electronics manufacturing industry, particularly surface mount technology (SMT) production lines, and they develop and supply:

  • Pick-and-place machines - automated equipment that places electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Screen printing equipment used during PCB assembly.
  • Full production-line solutions for electronics manufacturers.
  • Installation, servicing and technical support for manufacturing equipment.

The company describes itself as a leader in high-mix SMT manufacturing solutions, serving customers that require flexibility in producing a wide variety of electronic products.

Your new role

Supporting all UK employees during the entire 'employee life cycle'. Providing high quality guidance on employee recruitment and retention, evaluating employee performance and maintaining employee relations. First point of contact for managers and employees on any ER issues. Lead training and coaching sessions for managers and employees on policies, processes and other HR related initiatives. Providing advice, guidance and coaching to staff across the UK Company on ER and people matters that is both compliant and aligned with company values and culture.

What you'll need to succeed

  • CIPD - Level 5
  • Able to adapt quickly and not be afraid to tackle something new
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of GDPR and how to apply this in practice
  • Strong awareness of data management practice and requirements
  • Experience of working on a variety of software systems (HR systems preferable)
  • Organised
