Human Resources Generalist – UK/Republic of Ireland

The Human Resources Generalist will coordinate business objectives with employees, management, and internal systems to drive employee engagement, HR processes, and talent growth. This position provides strategic human resources support across compliance, total rewards, and talent planning.
Key Responsibilities
The HR Generalist will:
- Coordinate HR strategy across designated functional areas, aligning business goals with HR initiatives in employee engagement, relations, processes, compliance, rewards, and planning.
- Work with HR leadership to implement HR solutions for business needs, including project management and program development.
- Support talent management through coaching, employee counselling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Act as a bridge between employees and management for employee relations, talent acquisition, learning & development, performance management, and total rewards.
- Administer HR policies and programs with fairness, consistency, and compliance, including the use of HR systems for scheduling, performance reporting, and workflow.
- Collaborate with the Learning & Organizational Development team to identify training needs and implement solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries and employee concerns.
- Manage hiring practices, including pre-screening, interviews, onboarding (new/transferred), and offboarding for hourly and salaried employees.
- Contribute to Affirmative Action Plan (AAP/EEO) goals and initiatives.
- Manage additional tasks as directed by management.

Requirements
- Must have a genuine passion for retail and deep knowledge of UK & Republic of Ireland Employment Law.
- HRIS familiarity (e.g., Workday) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflict escalation, foster strong relationships, and collaborate effectively with teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to project-manage, prioritise tasks, and balance business needs with organisational objectives.
- Must adapt quickly to a fast-paced working environment.

- Primarily based in a standard office setting with minimal travel requirements.
