The Role:

A commercially minded HR Generalist to join our London-based team as the second-in-command to the Head of HR. This is a hands-on role with a global remit across 250 employees (and growing), covering recruitment, benefits administration, employee life cycle management, and HR operations. You'll be instrumental in supporting ambitious expansion plans, including acquisitions in new markets.

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services or fin tech/startups, strong administrative discipline, and an understanding of how HR can deliver impact, ROI, and value-add to the business. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with leadership during a period of rapid growth while building efficient processes that scale globally.

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Manage end-to-end recruitment annually across multiple regions. You'll need to hit the ground running with posting roles, screening CVs, scheduling interviews, and maintaining accurate records in the applicant tracking system.
  • On-boarding & Employee Life Cycle: Own on-boarding processes for new hires globally; administer life cycle events such as internal moves/off-boarding; maintain compliant employee records; and act as the first point of contact for queries.
  • Benefits Administration: Support recently launched benefits packages by managing enrolments/renewals, responding to employee queries, and liaising with providers.
  • HR Operations: Handle admin-heavy tasks like references, right-to-work checks, intern programs, and maintaining trackers/templates. Ensure compliance with employment laws across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Global Scope: Work across 80 UK employees and 250 globally (with plans to grow by 50+ through acquisitions). Be the on-ground HR person driving operational excellence in international markets.
  • Strategic Input: Partner with leadership to ensure HR delivers measurable impact, helping interpret trends from MI reporting and surfacing insights that support decision-making.

Skills Required:

Essential:

  • 4+ years experience in HR roles within financial services or fin-tech/startups.
  • End-to-end recruitment experience that you can pick this up immediately without hand-holding.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail across admin-heavy tasks like benefits management and compliance checks.
  • Experience supporting on-boarding and employee life cycle processes globally.
  • Commercial mindset, you understand how HR adds value to business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes.

Desirable:

  • CIPD qualification (or working towards it).
  • Familiarity with AI tools for improving People operations.
  • Experience working in high-growth environments or startups where scaling processes is key.
