Reporting to, and working directly with, the CEO to oversee and manage our people. The primary focus is to ensure that any day-to-day HR enquiries and recruitment are delivered to the highest standard possible.
The HR Manager will also be responsible for shaping HR initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy, bridging management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, and other issues.
The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of human resources as well as excellent IT proficiency and administrative capability.
They will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects, payroll, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing HR initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Managing the recruitment and selection process
- Supporting current and future business needs, including payroll processes
- Developing and monitoring overall HR systems and procedures across the organisation
- Nurturing a positive working environment for all
- Overseeing and managing a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Assessing training needs and providing training programmes
- Reporting to management and providing decision support through HR metrics
- Ensuring legal compliance throughout human resource management

Who You Are
- Thrives in manufacturing, workshop, and office-based environments
- People-oriented and results-driven
- Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- In-depth knowledge of employee law and HR best practices
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems - previous experience with 'Access People HR' would be desirable
- Works well independently and alongside different teams
- Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail in all areas
- Discreet with confidential information
Qualifications Required
- Minimum of CIPD Level 5
- Proven work experience as an HR manager or other HR executive
General Information
- Start date: ASAP
- Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.30am to 5pm).
- Office-based
- 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays
- Permanent contract (6-month probation period)
- Salary: Circa £50,000 DOE
