Description

Flexspace operates and manages a diverse portfolio of commercial property across around 50 sites nationwide, providing office space, workshops, and business units to a wide range of customers. We are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead the overall management and development of our HR and Talent Management function. This is a key role, responsible for driving initiatives that attract, develop, and retain talented people while ensuring our HR practices support the continued success of the business.

This is a part-time position, working 16–20 hours per week based over 3 - 4 days. This is an office based role, located in Peterborough.

The salary is £40,000 per annum (full-time equivalent, based on a 37.5-hour working week) and will be pro rata according to the agreed part-time hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with and coach the management team on all aspects of people management, building strong relationships that enable constructive challenge and support a high-performance culture.
  • Lead the full employee lifecycle, taking responsibility for all aspects of HR management and development, including recruitment and selection, employee relations, disciplinary and grievance matters, contracts, pay and benefits, learning and development, talent management, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Drive the continuous development of HR policies, processes, and best practices to ensure compliance and support business objectives.
  • Manages the payroll with support from the HR Administrator.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Relevant experience
  • Proven track record as a HR generalist
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Experience of designing and writing HR policies, procedures, offers and contracts of employment
  • Interpersonal relationships, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Adaptability and flexibility – willing to work on a variety of projects and perform in multiple roles
