HR Manager (Part-Time)

Looking for a HR role that offers flexibility, autonomy and genuine variety?

We're recruiting on behalf of a growing and highly respected HR consultancy that supports a wide range of SMEs across the South West. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building trusted relationships, solving people challenges and providing commercially focused HR advice.

You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, working closely with business owners and managers to deliver practical HR solutions across the full employee lifecycle. No two days are the same, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys variety and making a real difference to growing businesses.

The role is offered on a part-time basis with flexibility and hybrid working. Would be fantastic for a working parent or someone with other commitments.

The Role

As HR Manager, you'll become a trusted advisor to a portfolio of clients, providing expert guidance across all aspects of HR while ensuring businesses remain compliant and confident in managing their people.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a wide range of employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and performance issues
  • Providing practical, commercially focused HR advice to SME clients across a variety of sectors
  • Drafting and updating employment contracts, policies, procedures and employee handbooks
  • Advising clients on employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and general people management where required
  • Building long-term relationships with clients and becoming their trusted HR partner
  • Delivering a professional, responsive and high-quality HR service

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
