Role Overview

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with the Chief People Officer, playing a key role in both day-to-day people operations and strategic HR initiatives that shape the future of the organisation.

As a trusted People Partner, you'll provide practical HR advice, build strong relationships across the business, and help deliver an exceptional employee experience from recruitment through to development and retention.

Description

Employee Relations & People Partnering

  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees, providing advice and guidance on people matters.
  • Managing a range of employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Supporting senior leadership with sensitive and complex people issues.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Managing the day-to-day administration of the People function, including contracts, onboarding, HR correspondence and employee records.
  • Maintaining accurate HR data, reporting and documentation, ensuring GDPR compliance and robust record management.
  • Supporting payroll preparation, benefits administration and policy reviews.
  • Continuously improving HR processes, templates and workflows to drive efficiency and consistency.

Recruitment, Onboarding & Workforce Planning

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment, from creating engaging job adverts through to coordinating interviews and delivering an excellent candidate experience.
  • Leading seamless onboarding and probation processes to ensure new colleagues feel welcomed and supported from day one.
  • Supporting workforce planning, organisational design and succession planning activities.

Performance, Learning & Development

  • Supporting performance review processes and helping embed a culture of continuous feedback and high performance.
  • Coordinating learning and development programmes, maintaining training records and supporting career development initiatives.
  • Working with managers to identify development opportunities and build capability across the business.

Reporting, Reward & People Insights

  • Producing accurate people metrics, dashboards and reports that provide valuable workforce insights.
  • Supporting salary benchmarking, pay review processes and reward initiatives.
  • Using data to identify trends and help inform strategic people decisions.

Culture, Engagement & Wellbeing

  • Helping to deliver initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, engagement, inclusion and recognition.
  • Supporting engagement surveys, social activities and culture-building programmes.
  • Contributing to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives throughout the employee lifecycle.

Health & Safety

  • Supporting mandatory Health & Safety compliance, induction activities and associated documentation.
  • Assisting with compliance tracking, internal communications and incident follow-up where required.

Strategic Projects

  • Working alongside the Chief People Officer, you'll contribute to a range of exciting strategic initiatives, including:
    • HR systems implementation and automation.
    • Culture and engagement programmes.
    • Workforce planning and organisational design.
    • Learning and development projects.
    • Policy development and continuous improvement.
    • Wellbeing and DEIB initiatives.

Profile

A successful HR Manager/HRBP should have:

  • Exceptional collaboration skills, keeping stakeholders informed, sharing ideas early, and building alignment throughout projects.
  • High emotional intelligence, knowing when to seek guidance, when to escalate, and when to confidently take the lead.
  • A genuine partnership mindset, acting as a trusted strategic advisor while building strong working relationships across the business.
