Your Role
We’re hiring an HR Operations Lead on a nine-month fixed-term contract to provide advisory, guidance and operational support for our day-to-day HR operations across EMEA. You can work from either Spain or the U.K. If you prefer an office environment or a hybrid setup, you're welcome to work out of our Barcelona or London offices.
In this role, you’ll partner cross-functionally with our Payroll, Legal and People teams to build and maintain scalable processes across the entire employee lifecycle. You’ll make sure we comply with local regulations while helping our teams win together by keeping our workflows smooth and reliable.
As An HR Operations Lead, You’ll
- Advise and support. You’ll provide guidance on health and safety policies, benefits, time off, leave administration, payroll and immigration workflows.
- Manage the employee lifecycle. You’ll deliver technical guidance on key processes like onboarding, terminations, employment agreements and intracompany relocations.
- Design scalable processes. You’ll partner with the team to build and update standard operating procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple European countries while helping to manage risk.
- Lead and collaborate. You’ll provide operational leadership and mentorship to the team, working closely with internal departments to solve complex issues and build a culture of trust.

Must-Haves
- Experienced. You have seven or more years of progressive HR operations experience, including multi-country European employment compliance, payroll, benefits and leave administration.
- EMEA focused. You have proven experience navigating HR compliance and deep technical knowledge of operations in EMEA, specifically within the U.K. and Spain.
- A process builder. You have a demonstrated ability to design, implement and continuously improve scalable HR processes and standard operating procedures.
- A strong communicator. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an audit-oriented mindset and the ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance.
Nice-to-Haves
- Certified. You hold a CIPD, PHR, SHRM-CP or equivalent European HR certification.
- Educated. You have a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Compensation
The base salary range for this role is displayed below—starting salaries will typically fall near the middle of this range.
We make compensation decisions based on an individual's experience, skills and education in line with our internal pay equity practices.
Base Salary Range
£48,000 - £80,000 GBP
