Location: Birmingham Knights Court / Remote (with the requirement to travel)
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (1 year initially)

Role Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced HR Partner on a fixed-term basis (initially 12 months) to support a critical global carve-out programme, where our parent company, Toyota, is establishing a new organisation. This role will play a key part in delivering the TUPE transfer of warehousing employees (based in the UK), ensuring a compliant, well-managed, and employee-focused transition. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, requiring deep expertise in TUPE, employee relations, and organisational change. The successful candidate will work closely with the HR Partner Lead – UKI & Nordics, Project teams, legal advisors, and business stakeholders, and must be comfortable travelling regularly to multiple UK sites to support consultation and transfer activities on the ground.
Your responsibilities and activities will include:

TUPE Programme Delivery
- Support the end-to-end TUPE transfer process as part of the carve-out programme for the UK
- Provide expert advice on TUPE regulations, ensuring full compliance for both incoming and outgoing employer responsibilities
- Manage all TUPE-related activity, including:
- Due diligence and data gathering
- Review and validation of Employee Liability Information (ELI)
- Planning and delivery of consultation processes
- Supporting transfer execution and post-transfer activities
- Partner with legal advisors and stakeholders to identify, manage and mitigate risk
- Support the development and delivery of employee communications and consultation materials
- Ensure a smooth and consistent employee experience during a period of significant change

Employee Relations & Change Management
- Provide clear, practical, and risk-based guidance to managers and stakeholders
- Support and lead individual and collective consultation processes where required
- Manage ER issues arising pre- and post-transfer, ensuring consistent and fair outcomes
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation across all ER and TUPE activity

Policy, Process & Documentation
- Develop and maintain TUPE and ER-related documentation, including:
- Consultation scripts and guidance
- Employee communications
- Template letters and transfer documentation
- Ensure processes are clear, practical, and legally compliant
- Provide guidance to managers and HR teams to ensure consistent application of policies and processes

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Work closely with the HR Partner Lead – UKI & Nordics to ensure alignment and consistency across the business
- Collaborate with People Services, global teams, and project stakeholders to deliver programme milestones successfully
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to managers and leaders during the transition
- Build strong relationships across multiple sites and functions
Other responsibilities include:
- Provide on-site HR support across warehousing locations as required
- Act as a visible HR presence during key consultation and transfer milestones
- Travel regularly to support employee engagement and operational delivery
Role Qualification and Skills
- Extensive and demonstrable TUPE experience is essential, including experience acting for both incoming and outgoing employers
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, particularly in relation to organisational change and transfers
- Proven experience supporting or leading TUPE or large-scale transformation/carve-out projects
- Experience managing complex employee relations casework in a change environment
- Strong understanding of consultation processes (collective and individual)
- Ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical, business-focused guidance
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing capability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across UK sites
- Ideally CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience)
- A flexible self-starter with strong initiative, excellent organisational and multitasking skills who is capable of working autonomously, managing and prioritising their own workload and understanding when and where to seek guidance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills
- Workday (HR system) experience would be useful but not essential
