Senior HR Due Diligence & Operating Model Specialist
Role Summary
This role contributes to wider business objectives by driving end-to-end HR due diligence, target operating model design in partnership with the IT senior leadership team, and relevant workstreams. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining oversight on contractor/vendor tracking and systematic change management ahead of a planned September 2026 go live date for the project.
- Managing critical data structures and executing organisational system changes within Workday—directly impacting business strategy and vision.
- Advising on organisational mode structures, compliance, and ongoing talent alignment to streamline operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Operating Model Design & Advisory
- Partner directly with internal transformation leads, external architecture teams, and IT Senior Leadership Workstream leaders to:
- Finalise upcoming organisational model structures.
- Define roles, responsibilities, and clear RACI matrices.
- Deliver active advisory support and coaching sessions for leadership teams.
Talent Mapping & Performance Governance
- Execute a rigorous, data-driven talent mapping exercise.
- Enforce clear distinctions between:
- Model-driven upskilling requirements vs. pre-existing underperformance.
- Monitor and streamline active Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) to ensure they align with Business-As-Usual (BAU) operations.
Change Management & Information Governance
- Collaborate with the Project’s Communications Manager and leads to:
- Author, update, and maintain a comprehensive employee change FAQ framework.
- Manage tight communication timelines to align with IT leadership team expectations.
- Govern confidential change messaging while clarifying the business strategy and vision during shifting ways of working.
- Represent People Workstream on:
- Daily, weekly, and ad-hoc project calls (including SteerCo updates).
- Provide written updates for senior stakeholders (e.g., Group HR Ops Director, CIO, Directors).

HR Data & Systems
- Monitor and share project-related data across key platforms (primarily Workday for UK-based Group employees).
- Govern Workday organisational adjustments, including:
- Systemic corrections for anomalies (e.g., re-architecting Delivery Manager titles into specialised roles without disrupting downstream systems).
- Maintain active oversight on project steering and compliance, proactively offering early advice to mitigate risks.
Requirements
Essential
- Significant experience managing complex HR project workstreams, vendor transitions, or international operating model transformations.
- Robust UK Employee Relations & advisory experience, with:
- Strong ability to assess role change thresholds, talent mapping, and performance management governance.
- Experience working with job architecture mapping and enterprise HRIS landscapes (e.g., Workday).
- Proven track record of collaborative work with external consultants and technical leaders under tight project timelines.
- Action-oriented personality with:
- Diplomatic traits to operate under pressure and fast-paced environments.
- Firm data governance & policy adherence with senior IT stakeholders.
- High discretion and need for restricted communication protocols during high-stake project phases.

Preferred
- Degree qualification or recognised equivalent.
- CIPD certification or equivalent professional HR qualification.
- HR Generalist experience applicable to transparent cross-functional collaboration.
- Project management knowledge (e.g., Prince2 or Agile—support for development in role).
- TUPE or secondary TUPE working knowledge (not obligatory but advantageous).
