HR & Recruitment Administrator (Maternity Cover – August to July)

Employment Type: Part Time Fixed-Term Maternity Cover (August–July)
Location: Ashford, Surrey
Salary: £29,000–£30,000 FTE (full-time equivalent), pro rata for 22.5 hours per week (excluding 30-minute unpaid break).

We are looking for a dedicated and organised HR & Recruitment Administrator to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract from August 2026 to July 2027. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting people and delivering an excellent employee experience.

Position Overview
The HR & Recruitment Administrator will play a key role in supporting the Human Resources function, with a particular focus on recruitment and HR administration. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To:
- Assisting with the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, screening CVs and coordinating interviews.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and updating HR databases.
- Preparing and processing HR documentation, including employment contracts and onboarding paperwork.
- Supporting the onboarding process to ensure a positive experience for new employees.
- Responding to routine HR enquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinating internal and external training programmes, employee events, and a range of HR administrative activities.
- Managing and monitoring the staff training matrix and online training platform.
- Supporting the HR Manager with employee relations matters, including investigations, gathering evidence and preparing documentation.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in HR and/or recruitment (desirable).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- A self-motivated, reliable and proactive approach.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
