HR Services Assistant
Location: Northampton
Duration: 6 months FTC/secondment
Salary: £26,900 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

The Role - HR Services Assistant
The St Andrews HR Services Team is looking to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator to support a range of core HR processes.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering efficient and high-quality HR services, supporting activities such as onboarding and offboarding, employee lifecycle changes, and statutory compliance checks including DBS, right to work, and professional membership verification.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring all data is processed efficiently and in line with required timelines and standards. As part of a busy shared services environment, you will also act as a first point of contact for employees, providing guidance and support on HR general enquiries.
This is a pivotal role within the team, contributing directly to a positive employee experience while ensuring that all HR records are compliant with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

You will have previous experience working in a similar administrative environment and be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You’ll be confident delivering excellent customer service and able to work effectively under pressure, meeting tight deadlines without compromising on quality.

Ideally, you will have experience using iTrent or a similar HR system, although this is not essential. You will also have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong organisational skills are key, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise your workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
As a confident communicator, you will be comfortable engaging with colleagues at all levels and building positive working relationships. You will be a supportive team player with a proactive approach and a willingness to contribute to the success of the wider team.
