The Role: HR Services Manager
Realise global impact by joining us as an HR Services Manager. This role ensures legally compliant, high-value HR support to a global client base, spanning Embedded clients and HR Consulting ventures.
The Role in a Nutshell
- Key responsibility: Oversee the full employee lifespan for international employees and clients.
- Core focus: HR business partnering and compliance in a fast-paced, multinational context.
- Essential traits: Consultative approach, proactive problem-solving, and a forward-thinking mindset to align solutions with client and legal needs.
How You’ll Have an Impact

Standard HR Support:
- Handle onboarding, employee relations, and offboarding across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance and seamless processes.
- Provide advice on performance management, promotions, compensation benchmarking, and career development.

Tailored HR Services:
- Deliver bespoke HR support to Embedded clients and consulting projects with a consultative, needs-led approach.

Legal & Documentation Compliance:
- Develop, maintain, and renew employment contracts (sstarters, leavers, extensions, transfers).
- Ensure adherence to local labor laws, GDPR, and internal controls, while never overlooking key HR dates (e.g., probationary timelines, contract expirations).

Work Permit & Compliance Coordination:
- Collaborate with legal teams to streamline work permit applications and renewals.
- Identify and escalate compliance or legal risks for resolution.

Payroll & Benefits Visibility:
- Maintain accurate payroll cycles, tax filings, and benefit delivery with local vendors.
- Oversee monthly payroll processes and social security filings.

Data & Reporting:
- Generate monthly reports and respond to HR ad hoc requests. Preserve clean, auditable employee records.
- Assist in preparing for HR audits or client due diligence.

Strategic HR Initiatives:
- Lead complex HR projects like transitions, mergers, and dismissals.
- Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance operations, reduce compliance risks.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to align HR operations with business goals.
- Engage in global/local HR initiatives and process improvements.

Employee Experience Champion:
- Deliver exceptional onboarding, peer check-ins, and offboarding.
- Manage feedback surveys, grievances, and resolutions, ensuring swift and appropriate action.

Legal & Compliance Leadership: Stay agile and informed on evolving employment laws and HR trends in supported regions.
Key Advantages
- Experience: 4–6 years of proven HR management or business partnering, ideally with international or Employer-of-Record (EOR) exposure.
- Local & International Compliance: Deep understanding of UK & Ireland labor laws, coupled with broader global expertise. TUPE transfer experience is crucial.
- Problem-Solving: Hands-on practice with complex employment relations issues and data-driven resolutions.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in global HRIS platforms and collaborative tools.
- Interpersonal Mastery: Outstanding communication, stakeholder relationships, and prioritisation in a high-volume, dynamic environment.
Compensation Note
This role is available across multiple international locations, benefiting from location-based compensation. As an illustration, for markets within the European Union (EU), Safeguard offers the following base salary targets:
- Ireland: €54,000
