HR Support Assistant

The Role
The HR Support Assistant will support the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers and team members across the organisation.
This role helps ensure a smooth, efficient, and well-organised recruitment process, contributing to strong team capacity and the effective delivery of our services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with posting volunteer and team vacancy advertisements.
- Screen applications and shortlist suitable candidates.
- Coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers.
- Conduct initial screening calls (where assigned).
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment records.
- Support the onboarding process, including preparing documentation and arranging system access.
- Ensure new volunteers receive SOPs, induction materials, and onboarding information.
- Follow established recruitment procedures and workflows.
- Prepare and submit weekly recruitment reports to the HR Team Supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum high school education (college or university-level education preferred).
- Previous experience in HR, recruitment, administration, or coordination is desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets) or similar software.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to commit to a minimum of 12 volunteer hours per week.

Our mission is to empower women to become more self-reliant by helping them identify their own needs, make informed choices, and create positive solutions for themselves and their families.
We Provide a Range Of Community Services, Including a Charity Shop, Family Support Programmes, And Our Flagship Wolverhampton Baby Bank. Our Baby Bank Supports Families With Children Aged 0–3 By Providing Donated Essential Items And Practical Assistance, Including
- Nappies, wipes, clothing, bedding, toys, and other baby essentials.
- Support services for new and expectant parents, including drop-in groups and befriending services.
- Referrals and signposting to additional local services and community resources.
