The HR Systems Administrator will report to the HR Information Systems Analyst and administer, maintain, test and support all HR systems (e.g. iTrent (HR/Payroll system), Workforce Pro (rostering), Document Logistix (employee files), Absence Management App, Harbour etc.). The HR Systems Administrator will support continuous improvement and digital transformation project work within the HR directorate, including the insourced Payroll implementation and absence management app and ongoing support. The post holder will support the production and preparation of regular people management information, including reports and statistics for the wider business ensuring accuracy, data integrity and availability. The post holder will also provide support to all HR systems users across the business.

What you bring

  • Have experience in supporting internal HRIS or Payroll systems including reporting tools.
  • Have a logical thought process and ability to pick up systems quickly.
  • Prioritisation skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ideally have previous experience working in a similar role and specifically working experience or knowledge of HR and/or Payroll practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to work with employees at all levels.
  • Advanced experience of Microsoft packages, specifically Microsoft Excel.

It would be specifically beneficial to have:

  • Experience of iTrent including system configuration of modules.
  • Experience of supporting a workforce management/rostering system.
  • Knowledge or experience with integrations or interface processes would be beneficial.

Please note – ScotRail offers a hybrid working model which is typically 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
