HR Systems & People Operations Coordinator (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Location: Dewsbury | Type: Full-time, On-site

Hours: Monday - Thursday (8:30am – 5:00pm), Friday (8:30am – 4:00pm) Salary: £28,500 - £30,000

Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.


About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HR professional with a passion for HR systems, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making to join our People team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys enhancing the employee experience by optimising HR processes, developing efficient systems, and providing meaningful HR insights. You’ll play a key role in enhancing our HR technology, supporting managers across the employee lifecycle, and helping shape a modern, efficient HR function.

Working closely with the HR team and managers across the business, you’ll leverage your HR expertise to streamline processes, improve compliance, develop reporting, and maximise our HR systems’ capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

HR Systems & Process Improvement

  • Manage and continually improve HR systems, workflows, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Configure and enhance automated HR workflows, forms, and approvals.
  • Support the integration and development of our PeopleHR and Business Management System (BMS).
  • Identify ways to improve efficiency via automation and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Continuously review HR processes to reduce manual administration and enhance the employee experience.

HR Reporting & People Analytics

  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure GDPR compliance.
  • Produce regular HR dashboards and management reports covering:
    • Headcount
    • Absence
    • Turnover
    • Recruitment
    • Training
    • Performance
  • Analyse HR data to identify trends, provide insights, and support continuous improvement.
  • Assist HR projects through accurate reporting and data analysis.

Manager Support & Learning

  • Develop engaging HR guidance, training resources, and digital learning content for managers.
  • Create practical HR tools for managers, including:
    • Onboarding
    • Performance management
    • Probation processes
    • Absence management
  • Build and maintain a self-service HR knowledge library to improve manager capability and consistency.

HR Compliance & Employee Lifecycle

  • Ensure key HR compliance activities are effectively monitored, including:
    • Right to Work
    • Probation
    • Mandatory training
    • Policy acknowledgements
  • Support policy updates, audits, and document management.
  • Assist with onsite onboarding, employee lifecycle administration, and HR projects as required.

You’ll thrive in an HR environment, enjoy smarter working methods, and appreciate the impact your contributions have on managers and employees. You’re comfortable with HR systems, interpreting HR data, and improving processes that create meaningful results.

Essential

  • CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification (or currently enrolled).
  • Previous experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Officer, HR Advisor, or HR Systems role.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Experience using HRIS systems such as PeopleHR, Access, or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and produce meaningful reports.
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Confidence in communicating with managers and stakeholders across the business.

Desirable

  • Experience creating HR dashboards and people metrics.
  • Experience developing HR guidance, training materials, or e-learning content.
  • Interest in process improvement, automation, and AI in HR.
