Location: Regions (outside London)
Hybrid working: Some office presence required, plus occasional travel (approximately 1 trip/month).
This is a high-impact Senior Manager role within UK&I Talent Enablement, reporting to the HR Enablement Leader. As the leading visionary, you’ll shape our talent technology agenda and operational excellence, ensuring seamless delivery across the organisation.
You’ll act as a strategic advisor to senior talent leaders and stakeholders, blending forward-thinking strategies with hands-on delivery. Your role will encompass optimisation, clarity of priorities, and measurable business impact—while challenging thinking to align services and processes with real, tangible value.
A core focus will be on Talent Technology and Operational Excellence, including mastering how systems, data, and automation integrate to elevate the digital Talent function.
What You’ll Do
Own the Talent Technology Pipeline
- Collaborate with Talent Functional Leads and the Enablement Leader to shape and oversee the UK&I Talent Technology Roadmap, ensuring alignment with global strategies.
- Manage the Talent tech demand portfolio, working with stakeholders across UK&I and Global:
- Assess and triage requests based on demand.
- Develop early business cases and prioritise the pipeline based on capacity, strategy, and risk.
- Provide transparency on risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to support confident decision-making.

Drive Portfolio Clarity & Governance
- Establish clear, efficient governance frameworks that balance speed with control.
- Ensure Talent projects adhere to governance and regulatory compliance, including Independence/BRIDGE standards and privacy impact assessments.
- Deliver data-driven leadership reports on progress, investment risk, and performance.
- Foster cross-team alignment for consistency, visibility, and shared understanding across priorities.
Enable Successful Delivery of Change
- Support Talent technology deployment with a focus on readiness, testing, and adoption while minimising disruption.
- Provide Change/Project support for one or two projects concurrently.
Lead Digital Enablement & Innovation
- Partner across Technology and Talent to transform innovation into practical solutions.
- Identify automation and AI opportunities to enhance processes and working practises.
Embed Operational Excellence
- Continuously refine Talent Enablement operations by driving simplicity, consistency, and insight.
- Leverage data and analytics to track performance, support decision-making, and improve outcomes.
- Provide financial and commercial oversight of portfolio and technologies.
- Contribute to Enablement-led projects that drive business-wide operational excellence, including in processes and technology adoption.

Key Requirements:
- Proven expertise in programme or portfolio management, particularly in complex, cross-functional settings.
- Experience shaping or oversight of technology/transformation portfolios, ideally within HR, Talent, or corporate functions.
- Data literacy with a strong ability to use data and Microsoft tools to convey clear, actionable insights and drive informed decisions.
- Natural leadership presence: capable of shaping strategies, influencing stakeholders, and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise systems, data integrity, and process improvement.
- Strong interest in AI, automation, or digital enablement, with the ability to uncover opportunities and translate them into effective delivery.
- Ability to balance competing priorities, manage dependencies gracefully, and derive clear decision structures.
