HR & Workforce Transformation Project Manager - 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

Head of Change Projects

Purpose of the Role

To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

Project Management

  • Manage change projects within the organisation to ensure delivery on time, within scope, within budget, and to required quality standards
  • Develop and manage project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change initiatives
  • Facilitate training and communication to successfully implement and embed changes

Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Communicate with stakeholders (senior management, project teams, external partners) to align expectations and ensure project progress transparency
  • Lead project teams, ensuring proper resource allocation and expertise to drive objectives
  • Manage project budgets to stay within agreed financial terms

Risk & Compliance

  • Create project progress reports to track delivery timelines and budget adherence
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory and internal policies

  • Contribute to or set organisational strategy, driving requirements and making recommendations for change
  • Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain processes, delivering continuous improvements and escalating policy breaches

Team Management & Development

  • For team leaders: Define job roles/responsibilities, forecasts future department needs, and counsel employees on performance; influence pay decisions
  • Lead specialist teams to align with strategic and tactical priorities, balancing short- and long-term goals while meeting budgetary/schedule targets

HR & Workforce Transformation Project Manager

Location: London Office

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with senior HR leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver critical HR/people-focused initiatives
  • Drive end-to-end workstream delivery in high-impact programmes (e.g. digital transformation, post-acquisition integration)
  • Establish governance frameworks, align resources, and manage risks/dependencies across multiple projects

  • Engaging Director/Managing Director-level stakeholders by driving decision-making and accountability

Proven Success Factors

  • Programme Management expertise in complex, multi-workstream environments
  • Demonstrated stakeholder influence at senior levels
  • Adaptability in fast-moving, evolving priorities (e.g. large-scale change, digitalisation)

Experience Required

Preferred qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Management consulting background with specialist knowledge in organizational transformation, workforce strategy, and business change
  • Hands-on experience in HR/People Workstream delivery within a programme context
  • Portfolio vision to oversee aligned programs, recognising how HR initiatives cascade within broader business goals
