About the role
We’re looking for an experienced HRIS Data Consultant to join Silver Cloud’s Client Transformation team.
This is a hands-on, client-facing consulting role supporting organisations through HR and payroll technology projects, including system selection, implementation, optimisation, digital reviews and wider transformation programmes.
You’ll work closely with HR, Payroll and business leaders to improve processes, select and implement technology, and help clients realise greater value from their people systems. A key focus of the role will be data readiness and migration, ensuring workforce data is accurate, well understood and fit for purpose throughout the project lifecycle.
This role would suit someone who combines strong HRIS and/or payroll technology knowledge with practical experience across data cleansing, mapping, migration, validation and reconciliation. You’ll work across different systems, clients and industries, while helping us continue to develop our data transformation capability.
What you’ll do
- Lead and support HR and payroll technology projects across system selection, implementation, optimisation and transformation.
- Facilitate discovery workshops, requirements gathering sessions and process reviews.
- Assess workforce data quality and readiness ahead of system implementation or migration.
- Support clients with data cleansing, preparation and validation activities.
- Develop and maintain data mapping documentation between legacy and target systems.
- Lead and support migration testing, reconciliation and data sign-off activities.
- Work with clients, software vendors and implementation partners to ensure data requirements are clearly understood and delivered.
- Identify and manage data-related risks, issues and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain strong project governance through plans, RAID logs, status reporting and stakeholder communication.
- Support testing, training, adoption and transition into business as usual.
- Contribute to the development of Silver Cloud’s data migration tools, templates and delivery approaches.
- Identify opportunities to add further value to clients beyond the immediate project scope.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
