HS Coordinator Overview
My client is looking for an experienced HS Coordinator to join their Facilities Engineering team on an initial 6-month temporary contract, with the potential to become permanent. This is an on-site role based in Towcester and will play a key role in supporting health and safety compliance across a busy engineering and facilities environment.
The HS Coordinator Role
The HS Coordinator role will involve:
- Writing and maintaining health and safety policies and procedures
- Managing the permit to work system and ensuring compliance
- Coordinating electrical lock-off/tag-out processes
- Preparing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments
- Supporting health and safety activities across a busy facilities engineering environment
- Carrying out incident investigations and identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture across the site

The HS Coordinator Requirements
The HS Coordinator will need to have the following attributes:
- NEBOSH qualification
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within a facilities or engineering environment
- Experience with permit to work systems and electrical lock-off/tag-out procedures
- Ability to investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Good understanding of UK health and safety legislation and best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams
- Well organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
