We are looking for a HSE Advisor to join our team at Hinckley Point on a permanent basis. The HSE Advisor’s role is to monitor KAEFER’s health and safety, assess risks, and design strategies to reduce potential hazards within the workplace whilst ensuring compliance with HSE regulations.

Our HSE Advisors are responsible for preventing accidents and injuries in the workplace and ensuring that all staff are provided with a safe and secure environment to work in at all times.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Advise and assist site management in the preparation of Safety & Environmental Plans, Risk Assessments and method statements for various projects in line with client SLA’s / KPI’s.
  • Undertake KAEFER active monitoring activities daily to verify compliance with KAEFER standards and SSOW.
  • Prepare safety and environmental reports as required.
  • Conduct in conjunction with client, site walks and attend meetings as required.
  • Monitor occupational health requirements, ensuring statutory monitoring is carried out as required.
  • Conduct safety and environmental audits and inspections in accordance with site/client requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver training courses / tool box talks to ensure full knowledge of H&S requirements and techniques.
  • Report to site HSE Lead / Head of HSE of HSE activities.
  • Conduct accident / incident investigations and prepare reports for internal / external purposes.
  • Provide HSE advice and direction to on site management, staff and contractors.
  • Assist site management in the periodic preparation and presentation of seminars/training for clients, own employees and other interested parties/stakeholders.
  • Sharing information, suggestions and observations to create consistency throughout the Company.
  • Assist other members of the team in internal/external business unit audits.

What You Will Bring

  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise work and influence stakeholders.
  • Excellent report writing skills with strict adherence to reporting deadlines.
  • Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong information sharing ability and ability to adapt to audience.
  • Good knowledge in HSE compliance and HSE regulations and HSE law.
  • Good knowledge of core disciplines and HSE measures within our industry.
  • NEBOSH Health and Safety Certificate (essential).
  • NEBOSH Environmental Certificate (desirable).
  • Other recognised SHE certification (desirable).
