New Job Opportunity - Site HSE Advisor - 12 Months Outside IR35 Contract - Based in North Wales

Site Requirements
5.5 days per week
Experience
5+ years’ experience on Onshore Oil & Gas projects across the UK and Internationally.
Purpose of the Position
As the Site HSE Advisor, you will report to the Field HSE Manager and provide expert support in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System throughout the engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning (EPIC) phases of the Decommissioning Carbon Capture Project. You will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving HSE excellence across all site activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote HSE awareness through workforce engagement, coaching, and training initiatives.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and verify the compliance and certification of equipment and plant.
- Support the development and review of risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and safe systems of work.
- Oversee the Permit to Work (PTW) process and ensure effective control of hazardous activities and materials.
- Monitor and report HSE performance metrics, track KPIs, and support incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, standards, and sustainability objectives.
- Provide proactive HSE advice and guidance to project personnel and contractors.
- Support emergency preparedness activities and participate in drills and exercises as required.

Requirements
Education & Qualifications
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent HSE qualification).
- Degree or qualification in Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH) is desirable.

Experience
- Several years of HSE experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Previous experience supporting major onshore construction or EPC/EPIC projects.
- Strong knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
- Experience with site surveys, investigations, and construction-related activities.
- Demonstrated experience in contractor management, risk assessment, permit-to-work systems, and incident investigation.
- Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and industry best practices.

- Strong observational, auditing, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to influence safe behaviours and promote a positive safety culture.
- Proficient in HSE reporting and performance monitoring.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project environment.
