EHS & Facilities Manager based in Derby, with travel to Mansfield and Rugeley

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business with a long-standing reputation for quality, innovation and operational excellence, operating across automotive, aerospace, defence, motorsport, nuclear, energy and industrial markets. The organisation continues to invest in its people, facilities and future growth, and they are looking to appoint an experienced EHS & Facilities Manager to play a key role within the senior leadership team.

Reporting directly to the Plant Director, you'll lead Environmental, Health & Safety and Facilities across three manufacturing sites, managing a team of 5–6 people while driving a culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to influence business strategy, develop best practice and make a lasting impact across the organisation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the EHS strategy across three manufacturing sites
  • Driving a proactive health, safety and environmental culture throughout the organisation
  • Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and ISO management systems
  • Managing all facilities, utilities and infrastructure to support operational performance
  • Leading audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Overseeing contractors, maintenance programmes and facilities-related capital projects
  • Developing emergency response and business continuity plans
  • Coaching and developing managers and employees to embed best practice across the business

What we're looking for:

  • Proven leadership experience within EHS and/or Facilities Management in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
  • Experience managing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
  • A track record of driving cultural change and continuous improvement
  • Strong stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent), with IOSH membership desirable
