This is not a generalist HSE role and it is not a compliance-only office position.

This role needs someone with clear, proven construction experience in industrial project environments.

About the Role

The successful person will work closely with project managers, construction managers and field teams to drive high standards of safety, compliance and operational performance across live construction and site activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading risk assessments, HSE audits, site inspections, incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Taking ownership of HSE systems, mobilisation checks, contractor compliance, training, ISO standards compliance and ongoing safety improvement across the Global Field Services team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must have hands-on construction HSE experience within sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemical, power, heavy industrial, industrial services or field-based engineering projects. This is essential. A purely manufacturing, corporate or office-based Health and Safety Advisor, HSE Advisor, EHS Advisor or QHSE background without construction exposure will not be enough.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong HSE / Health and Safety experience within construction environments
  • Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, combustion, power generation, EPC, energy or heavy industrial sectors
  • Confidence carrying out audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Comfortable working closely with project managers, construction managers and site teams
  • Willing to travel internationally as required
  • NEBOSH or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 would be highly beneficial
