HSE Manager
Bishop Auckland, County Durham
£50,000 - £59,000 per annum, plus 10% bonus
Full-time, Permanent
We are recruiting for an experienced HSE Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HSE Manager who wants to make a genuine impact, influence positive change, and help create a culture where safety is at the heart of everything people do.

What You'll Be Doing
As HSE Manager, you will:
- Lead and embed a proactive safety-first culture across the site.
- Drive behavioural safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Lead investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Monitor HSE performance, identify trends, and implement improvements.
- Advise and support management on all HSE matters.
What We're Looking For

The successful HSE Manager will have:
- Experience in a Health, Safety & Environmental leadership role within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent).
- IOSH membership (minimum TechIOSH).
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.
