Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site HSE Manager to lead all Health, Safety and Environmental activities on a major industrial construction project. Acting as the senior HSE authority on site, you will ensure compliance with client standards, UK legislation, and industry best practice while driving a positive safety culture across contractors and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the site HSE and Permit to Work teams.
- Ensure compliance with HSWA, CDM 2015, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Oversee Permit to Work, Control of Work, LOTO, confined space and other high-risk activities.
- Drive contractor and subcontractor HSE performance through audits, inspections and assurance activities.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support project leadership with HSE strategy, governance and risk management.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across site.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site HSE Manager on major construction, energy, infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, CDM regulations and Permit to Work systems.
- Experience managing contractor interfaces and delivering HSE systems from mobilisation through execution.
- Background in heavy industrial, EPC, energy, oil & gas, power, nuclear or other high-hazard environments.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable
- Chartered IOSH or working towards Chartered status.
- Experience within EPC organisations
- Contractor assurance, compliance auditing and incident investigation experience.
