I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Norway / Finland Location
The elephant in the room is these roles are based in Norway and Finland so you would have to relocate out there. But lets be honest, it’s better out there than the UK these days! So that’s an easy sell…
Add on the outstanding package of £100k basic salary, all accommodation covered (and that’s same for family), car (fuel paid for), 27 day holiday €60 per day food allowance, healthcare, all accommodation costs covered (for family as well), 8% matched pension that makes the decision pretty easy for a lot of people.

The Person
We’re actually open to the background here, but something “mission critical” and ideally data centre due to the high value of these mega build projects.
We’re more bothered about getting the right “person” in who can add value from day one and use your expertise to make sure these projects run smoothly on a SHE front
