HSE Manager- Fawley
Altrad are currently on the lookout for a HSE Manager to guide, develop, and maintain effective health, safety, and environmental programs. This role ensures all health, safety, and environmental practices comply with laws and company policies. The HSE Manager leads inspections, trains staff, investigates incidents, and creates a culture of safety across the organisation.
Key Deliverables
- Develop and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Assess risks and identify hazards in the workplace
- Lead regular workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance
- Provide health, safety, and environmental training for employees
- Review and investigate accidents, incidents, or near-misses
- Prepare and submit reports to management and authorities as required
- Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations
- Suggest improvements to reduce risks and hazards
- Advise managers on best practices concerning health, safety, and environment
- Coordinate emergency response plans and drills
- Ensure safe waste management and proper handling of chemicals or hazardous materials
- Keep updated with new safety regulations and company standards
- Collaborate with external agencies and regulatory bodies during inspections or audits
- Maintain accurate records of safety activities and incidents
- Promote a strong safety culture across the organization
- Ability & drive to promote awareness of and ensure site wide application of company and client HS&E policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree, NEBOSH General Certificate/National Diploma or equivalent in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in health, safety, and environmental roles, preferably in a supervisory position
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations
- Strong skills in risk assessment and hazard identification
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver safety training
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to investigate incidents and write clear, factual reports
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in using computers and standard office software
- Relevant safety certifications are preferred
