We are looking for someone who is keen to be part of a team that is committed to ensuring continuous improvement and working hand in hand with operational teams, the role will be offshore based but may require international travel across the fleet. This is a great opportunity for someone already in the industry or with experience in other high-risk sectors who wants to join renewable energy. About The Role
- Support the Sofia/Triton Knoll offshore windfarm in its operational phase
- Providing independent, expert and professional advice and guidance to the site management on all health, safety and environmental issues, actively participate in and promoting a high standard of health, safety and environmental awareness and culture at the operational offshore wind farm
- Proactively support the site Team in implementing high standards of proactive and continual improvement 'We Care' ethos, including initiatives in behavioural safety, wellbeing and sustainability to ensure a positive impact on the team members
- Engage and develop relationships with teams and contractors to eliminate and reduce risks, develop HSE culture for the people on site and adhere to HSE standards and rules
- Produce, review and update health, safety and environmental-related documentation required by the allocated site Team as directed by the Head of HSE Offshore Operations and Team Lead Region 2 HSE Offshore Operations Continental Europe or required by the HSE function
- Contribute towards and deliver on annual key performance indicators, annual We Care goals and targets for the site Team and wider business
- Carry out regular workplace inspections on and offshore
- Planning, running and recording feedback on emergency response drills

Job Requirement And Experience
- Degree in Health and Safety related discipline, engineering/safety engineering or similar
- Higher safety qualification and ideally will also hold a higher qualification level in an environmental discipline
- Audit qualification such as ISO 45 001 / 14 001 internal auditor, along with an Incident root cause analysis qualification
- Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training certification would be desirable
- A handful of years’ experience as HSE professional, preferably in Offshore Wind, energy or oil and gas sectors
- Experience in developing, implementing and maintaining a certifiable HSE Management System
- Good health, with general all-round fitness to work in an offshore environment including working at height with the ability to undertake the mandatory medical checks (AWMF offshore medical) and tests according to legal requirements
- Working in shift module 14/14 rotation on SOV (Service Operation Vessel) within the windfarm including work on offshore installations (WTG and substations)
An offer of employment in this role may require holding active or ability to pass National Security vetting to SC level. Failure to obtain and or maintain National Security Vetting to SC may result in the removal of job offers and or existing employment.
