HSE Support
Health & Safety Support Professional – Barton-Upon-Humber (Manufacturing)
About The Role
We’re seeking a proactive Health & Safety Support professional for our Barton-Upon-Humber manufacturing site, working Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:30. The role supports the implementation of Safety, Health & Environment systems and ensures effective contractor control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and review Risk Assessments, Safe Working Procedures, COSHH, and Manual Handling (MAC)
- Review and approve contractor RAMS; verify competency, certifications, and licences
- Coordinate contractors to ensure compliance with site rules, CDM Regulations, and legislation
- Deliver site inductions for contractors/visitors and ensure safety understanding
- Manage Permits to Work (PTW), including high-risk tasks
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and behavioural observations
- Promote a positive safety culture and challenge unsafe behaviours
- Investigate incidents/near misses, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISO 14001/45001, and UK H&S laws
- Monitor performance and support reporting and continuous improvement

- Analytical problem-solving and investigation skills
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Experience in diverse environments
- Technical Proficiency:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
