What you can expect:
As HSE Team Manager (m/f/d) in the UK, you will take responsibility for leading our on-site HSE / CDM Managers and further developing our HSE standards, processes and reporting structures. You will play a key role in strengthening health, safety and environmental performance across our UK projects, supporting both site operations and back-office HSE processes.
The role is based at our Farnborough UK Office and includes regular travel to project sites across the UK.
Tasks:
- Lead and support the on-site HSE / CDM Managers across UK projects
- Hold the HSE team accountable for site HSE performance and reporting
- Conduct regular site visits and spot checks to monitor HSE standards
- Lead incident management processes and support follow-up actions
- Carry out performance reviews for HSE team members
- Support the Tendering team with HSE input for PQQs, RFQs and ITTs
- Review employer’s requirements from an HSE perspective
- Conduct annual reviews of HSE policies and procedures
- Monitor legislative changes and ensure implementation in UK processes
- Support the achievement of relevant ISO certifications for the UK entity
- Plan and deliver HSE training for HSE / CDM Managers, Site Managers and Site Supervisors
- Work closely with Project Delivery and ESG teams to improve UK delivery standards related to HSE

Profile:
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
- Several years of experience in HSE, ideally within utility-scale solar projects
- Strong understanding of site-based HSE / CDM management in the UK
- Experience in leading, coordinating or developing HSE teams
- Good understanding of HSE policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Experience with incident management, site inspections and HSE reporting
- Knowledge of ISO certification processes would be an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Structured, organized and solution-oriented way of working
- Confident leadership style with the ability to hold teams accountable
- Fluent English skills
- Willingness to travel regularly to project sites across the UK
