HSEQ Co-ordinator Location: Wolverhampton (Office based with regional site travel) Enitial (part of the HSL Compliance Group) is a leading UK-based independent field monitoring, sampling, and environmental services company. Acting as the vital "boots on the ground," we help industrial, waste, and water utility companies manage environmental compliance and maintain specialist monitoring equipment. In this critical role, you will work hand-in-hand with our HSEQ Manager to coordinate, evolve, and drive a positive health, safety, environmental, and quality culture across the business. The HSEQ Co-ordinator is responsible for providing robust operational, technical, and administrative support across all compliance and HSEQ activities. This is a dynamic, high-exposure role that bridges the gap between office-based systems management and field-based operations. You will coordinate internal and external ISO audits, support group-wide ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and CSR initiatives, maintain critical safety documentation, and dive deep into close-call and accident investigations to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement. What You’ll Be Doing Complete workplace inspections, checks, and internal audits. Assist with external ISO accreditation audits and meticulously manage the business's Legal and Regulatory schedule. Support and assist with accident investigations with a clear development pathway toward leading investigations independently. Review internal and external Near Miss/Close Call reports, working collaboratively with departmental teams to find root causes and ensure customers are kept fully informed. Maintain, update, and review risk assessments, RAMS, COSHH assessments, and policies. Support the continuous improvement of our Integrated Management System (IMS). Monitor compliance actions, tracking progress and maintaining positive momentum across teams to ensure everything is resolved within deadlines. Help build and maintain a strong, positive HSEQ and Quality culture. Create and deliver engaging health and safety briefings and information across the business. Support the commercial bid team with technical HSEQ data for tender responses, assist with fleet compliance when required, and attend site visits or client meetings. What We’re Looking For Strong foundational knowledge of UK Health and Safety requirements and basic auditing principles. Good understanding or familiarity with ISO accreditation frameworks (such as ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001). Exceptional communication abilities and a knack for building strong working relationships. A diligent, inquisitive mind with the ability to use your own initiative to spot risks and trace back root causes. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and SharePoint to manage compliance data. A willingness to travel to client sites when required to perform workplace inspections. Desirable (But Not Essential): Formal auditor training or credentials. A formal Health and Safety qualification (such as a NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely). Prior practical experience working within an established Integrated Management System (IMS).
