HSQE Advisor

Location: West Midlands with national travel

Salary: Competitive + Car

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

We're looking for an experienced HSQE Advisor to support our Infrastructure division, providing practical health, safety, quality and environmental advice across a range of rail, civils, vegetation management and infrastructure projects. Working closely with operational teams, you'll help drive compliance, improve safety performance and promote a positive HSQE culture across the business.

What you'll do

  • Carry out site inspections, audits and assurance visits.
  • Provide practical HSQE advice and coaching to operational teams.
  • Support risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
  • Investigate incidents and monitor corrective actions.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and workforce briefings.
  • Monitor compliance with legislation, client requirements and company standards.
  • Support internal, external and client audits.
  • Build strong relationships with managers, clients and supply chain partners.

What we're looking for

  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent Level 3 qualification).
  • IOSH membership (or working towards Certified IOSH).
  • HSQE experience within Utilities and ideally UK Power Networks.
  • Experience of audits, inspections and incident investigations.
  • Good knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
  • PTS and/or higher-level HSQE qualifications are desirable.
