HSSE Technical Coordinator Required for a Major Offshore Wind Developer in the UK

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and administrative support to the HSSE function.
  • Develop, format and maintain HSSE procedures, plans, forms, templates, and guidance documents.
  • Support the development and maintenance of HSSE assurance questionnaires, verification tools, and audit documentation.
  • Maintain the HSSE Management System documentation and document registers.
  • Coordinate and track contractor HSSE documentation, including RAMS, competency records, training records, insurance certificates, appointments, and mobilisation information.
  • Maintain HSSE registers, trackers, and databases, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date.
  • Support mobilisation and readiness activities by coordinating required HSSE documentation and evidence.
  • Produce weekly and monthly HSSE reports, dashboards, and performance information.
  • Coordinate HSSE meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and monitor actions through to completion.
  • Support audits, inspections, and assurance activities by maintaining evidence and tracking corrective actions.
  • Ensure effective document control, filing, and record management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HSSE administration, document control, and assurance processes.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of HSSE training materials, induction packs, awareness/focus campaigns.
  • Prepare and issue HSSE communications, bulletins, and safety alerts.
  • Maintain the HSSE communications register and distribution records.
  • Provide administrative support for incident reporting and investigations, including maintaining records, coordinating documentation, and tracking corrective actions.
  • Provide proactive technical and administrative support to the HSSE function, contributing to the effective implementation of the HSSE Management System and supporting safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery.

  • Experience in an administrative, technical support, or coordination role.
  • Experience supporting an HSSE function.
  • Experience within construction, infrastructure, or offshore wind projects.
  • Experience managing documentation, records, registers, trackers, and document control systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Understanding of HSSE Management principles.
  • Awareness of CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Awareness of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Understanding of contractor management and assurance processes.
  • Knowledge of document control and records management.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent IT and document management skills.
  • Ability to analyse information and produce reports.
  • Experience using SharePoint, Prism, Omega, or similar document management systems.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH Working Safely, or equivalent qualification.
