HSSEQ Client Lead

Health, Safety, Security & Quality (HSSEQ) CLIENT LEAD

UK Workplace Risk & Resilience Team

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

The HSSEQ Client Lead – RLAM role is to support the UK HSSEQ PM Lead in delivering health and safety compliance for RLAM client operations, ensuring KPIs from the client Management Services Agreement (MSA) are met. Key responsibilities include:

  • Direct line management of a HSSE Manager assigned to the RLAM portfolio.
  • Independent collaboration with the Senior HSSEQ Manager on cross-client trends, best practices, and broader initiatives.
  • Work with site management teams to maintain risk management platforms and compliance with ISO 14001/45001 certified Integrated Management System (IMS).

The role also involves monitoring, risk management, and auditing health, safety, and environmental activities across the RLAM portfolio, focusing on compliance performance, risk scrutiny, and best practice implementation. Training facilitation and engagement with Security Intelligence and global/regional initiatives are additional responsibilities.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

Client Service

  • Understand the RLAM Management Services Agreement (MSA) and manage JLL liabilities, ensuring UK operations meet health, safety, security, and environmental standards.
  • Liaise directly with RLAM client stakeholders and support their HSE goals and operational objectives.

Risk Management

  • Ensure operational site teams across RLAM portfolio effectively manage identified risks, providing advice and assistance.
  • Maintain risk management platforms (e.g., Vision by JLL) in line with agreed parameters.
  • Regularly interrogate platform data, generate reports, and collaborate with Workplace Risk & Resilience Team, RLAM site teams, and service partners to ensure compliance risks are addressed.
  • Provide risk liability reports specific to RLAM operations and share data with the Senior HSSEQ Manager for cross-client trend analysis.
  • Oversight of accident/incident reporting, root cause investigations, and practical guidance on problem resolution.
  • Lead "fair and just" investigations where necessary and liaise with enforcement agencies if required.
  • Supporting global/regional initiatives and HSSEQ transition programmes collaboratively.

HSSE Management & Audit Programme

  • Manage internal audit programme for RLAM sites, working with site teams according to set criteria.
  • Direct line management responsibility for HSSEQ Manager assigned to the RLAM portfolio, including mentorship and professional development alignment with PM UK and Global requirements.
  • Assist site management teams in implementing effective risk mitigation controls.
  • Ensure audits are conducted on outgoing RLAM properties within each service charge year.

Training & Development

  • Collaborate with UK HSSEQ PM Lead to conduct a training needs analysis, identifying appropriate training provisions for RLAM portfolio.
  • Design and deliver training courses & briefings relevant to RLAM operational teams.
  • Coordinate regular training sessions for site management teams.
  • Execute additional training duties as instructed by UK HSSEQ PM Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential Requirements

  • NEBOSH General Diploma (or equivalent), OR
  • NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Practices
  • Member of IOSH (Grad IOSH/CertIOSH progression beneficial).
  • Proven training/delivery experience in HSSE précédentes.
  • Practical understanding of property management advantageous.

Technical & Programme Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced), and Outlook essential.
  • Experience with database platforms and system integration valuable.
  • Strong numerical and report writing skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Soft Skills & Professional Attributes

  • Customer-service orientated with superior communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with a collaborative work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in contractor management and practical safety leadership.
  • Comfortable integrating into global-operational constructs whilst delivering on specific client accountabilities.
