HSSU Coordinator – North Staffs Hospital | Sterile Services | Bank | Part Time | £12.84 per hour

About the Role
As an HSSU Coordinator at our North Staffs Hospital, you’ll combine basic computer literacy with strong organisation skills. Your responsibilities include:
- Processing used surgical instruments for dispatch
- Receiving sterile surgical equipment
- Supporting the friendly theatre team
You’ll ensure everything runs smoothly, making a real difference in patient care.

Key Responsibilities
As an HSSU Coordinator, you will:
- Move and handle trays and items of various weights and sizes
- Maintain accurate records and keep documentation up to date
- Dispose of contaminated waste in accordance with hospital policy
- Regularly check equipment, ensuring it remains in good working order and report faults
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
- Take action to rectify problems, escalating issues where necessary
