Providing visible Health and Safety advice and management to project/s (or multiple small projects), provides guidance and assurance to project team/s and business.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Driving the implementation and compliance of business health safety and wellbeing (HSW) policies, procedures, guidance notes and standards on assigned project/s.
- Managing preparation of external ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and other applicable standards.
- Monitoring and assisting with the creation and coordination of the inspection and audit schedule, undertakes and provides support for operational health safety and wellbeing (HSW) inspections and audits.
- Providing input and participating in the development of new and updates to existing standards.
- Analysing and interpreting results of reporting, audits, corrective actions, operations reports and key performance indicators (KPI’s), ensuring mechanisms are in place to enable accurate measurement, reporting and rectification - identifies gaps for improvement and develops mitigation plans with operations to support rectification.
- Contributing and managing incident investigations in line with business procedures.
- Seeking opportunities for continuous improvements/improving working processes.
- Developing effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and sharing responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:
- Formal qualification in safety management (level 3 in UK), e.g. Nebosh certificate (or equivalent).
- Additional H&S qualifications level 3 or above (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of HSW legislation, management systems, auditing, risk management and mitigation.
- Being able to present a range of technical information to non-technical audiences.
