# Housing Officer (Homelessness) – Cambuslang Gate, Permanent Role ACTUAL CLOSING DATE: 12 July 2026, 11:55pm
📍 Location: Cambuslang Gate 🕒 Hours: 35hrs per week 🕐 Work Pattern: Monday–Thursday: 8.45am–4.45pm November–March; Friday: 8.45am–4.15pm ★ Salary: £29,326 – £34,399
About the Role
You will deliver a comprehensive range of housing services, including homelessness prevention, allocations, estate management, rent recovery, and anti-social behaviour interventions. Key Requirements:
- Previous experience within housing-related environments, including knowledge of current legislation on homelessness, allocations, and related issues.
- Excellence in IT, organisational skills, adaptability to prioritise workloads under changing demands, and exceptional interpersonal communication for engagement with varied stakeholder agencies.
- Vehicle access is an advantage under Council’s Car Pool Scheme for occasional out-of-place travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support in line with housing-related regulations and Council priorities.
- Proactively engage with agencies, respond to customers efficiently, and resolve issues maintaining service quality and bodily safety.
- Collaborate on issue escalation and liaise effectively with professional and customer-facing teams.
