- Work Pattern: Rotating schedule
- Mon-Thu: 07:30 – 17:15
- Tue-Fri: 07:30 – 17:15
- Salary: £39,856 – £40,995 per annum
ABOUT THE ROLE
South Lanarkshire Council is recruiting an experienced Painter to support our Building Services team across refurbishments, maintenance, and new build projects.
You will:
- Execute high-quality painting and decorating tasks in both commercial and domestic environments.
- Work to targets and tight timescales while ensuring exceptional craftsmanship.
- Adapt to flexible workloads and varying project demands.
You must hold a SVQ L3/City & Guilds qualification in a relevant trade and demonstrate real-world technical expertise with a record of delivering defect-free outcomes.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Essential Criteria
- Prove competency in painting/decorgating for:
- New build projects
- Refurbishments and maintenance
- Industry-standard trade qualification: SVQ Level 3 or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds).
- Proven experience working in both commercial and domestic settings.
- Strong customer care principles and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Health and safety awareness, with the ability to follow strict protocols.
- Commitment to timescale adherence and quality assurance.
