Are you passionate about helping children and families encounter Jesus and thrive in a vibrant church community? Do you have a heart for estate-based ministry and a desire to see families come to faith? We are looking for a gifted and enthusiastic Family and Outreach Pastor to join the team at HTB Dalgarno Way who is passionate about pursuing Jesus and investing in children and families in an estate-based context.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow our children's ministry, build meaningful relationships with local families, and develop outreach opportunities that connect our church with the wider community. Through Sunday ministry, schools engagement, community programmes and family events, you will help create pathways for children and families to discover and follow Jesus.

The closing date for this role is Sunday 9th August. The salary range for this role is £30,000 - £32,000.

Key Responsibilities

Children's Ministry

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of HTB Kids on Sundays at St Francis, Dalgarno Way
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate teaching and discipleship programmes
  • Create a fun, welcoming and faith-filled environment where children can grow in their relationship with Jesus
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents and carers
  • Recruit, train and support volunteers, managing rotas and ensuring safeguarding requirements are met
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Dalgarno Way team to connect families into church life

Family & Community Outreach

  • Lead and grow the weekly After School Club and Play Café
  • Develop creative and innovative opportunities to engage families across the local estates
  • Build and lead a volunteer team focused on supporting and encouraging families
  • Work alongside other church departments to promote and support parenting courses, family initiatives and Alpha

Schools Ministry

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local schools
  • Create opportunities for partnership, engagement and outreach through schools work
  • Help build effective pathways from schools engagement into church community and faith exploration

Requirements

  • A vibrant Christian faith and a passion for helping children and families encounter Jesus
  • Experience working with children, families and volunteers
  • Confidence in building relationships across diverse communities
  • Creativity, proactivity and motivation to develop new ministry opportunities
  • Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Passion about outreach and seeing people come to faith
