HTB Church is seeking an experienced and creative Marketing & Communications Manager to lead and deliver our marketing and communications strategy across all areas of church life. This is a senior, highly collaborative role within the HTB Media Team, shaping how we communicate our vision, services, events and key moments across digital platforms.
You will bring strategic thinking, strong leadership and excellent delivery, ensuring all communications are engaging, on-brand and impactful.
Applications for this role will close on Sunday 28th June. The salary range for this role is £32,000 - £36,000.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Strategy, Insight & Reporting
Create and deliver marketing and communications strategies for weekly services, major events, Leadership Conference, Focus and other key moments Collaborate with the Creative Director to shape tone of voice, messaging and brand expression across all areas of church life Commission or conduct research, analyse insight and present recommendations aligned with HTB's vision and values Produce clear campaign reports, tracking effectiveness and implementing improvements Lead strategic use of SEO and SEM, and share analytics and insights across the team

Content, Campaigns & Digital Channels
Lead the concepting and delivery of creative, multi‑channel campaigns Oversee HTB's digital platforms (HTB.org, email, YouTube and social media), ensuring timely, accurate and engaging content Set quality standards and guidelines for digital communications and marketing content Draft, proofread, design and schedule the monthly HTB Snapshot email Ensure consistent messaging, branding and design across all communications
Leadership & Team Development
Line manage the Digital Storyteller, providing regular feedback, appraisals and development planning Lead by example, supporting team members to deliver high‑quality work to brief
Media Volunteer Team Coordination
Coordinate volunteers, staff and freelancers for services, Alpha, Focus, Leadership Conference and other events Recruit, train and develop the Media Volunteer Team Support pastoral care of volunteers, fostering a healthy and supportive serving culture Liaise with Creative Directors and the Safeguarding Officer on any safeguarding matters Provide regular updates on volunteer skills, attendance and development

Requirements
The following skills and experience form the minimum requirements for the role:
3+ years' proven experience in a marketing and communications role, ideally within a Church or faith-based organisation Demonstrable experience building, growing and working with volunteer teams Proven knowledge and experience in SEO and SEM Experience working in web and digital delivery, including using platforms such as SquareSpace Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal senior leadership Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and proofreading Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines
