Job Description
Purpose of Position
In this role you will be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and breakdowns on Hub sortation equipment from both a mechanical and electrical perspective. As an Apprentice you will also undergo an Engineering qualification and on the job training.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with repairs of any electrical and mechanical issue within the Hub along with the engineers.
- Carrying out servicing work and ensuring it is 100% completed and on schedule. Using “The Hub” system and ensuring the servicing work is up to date on the system.
- Using SCADA systems to aid fault finding of all Hub sortation systems.
- Adhering to and promotion of health & safety policies (including COSHH).
- Liaising with other departments including Security, Operations, IT.
- Continuous improvement of “The Hub” with regard to adding photos, drawings, guides and descriptions.
- Reporting of any issues to management written and verbal.
- On the job training on all aspect of Multi Skilled engineering.

Key Measures of Performance
- Prevention of plant failures by the PPM system and the continued monitoring of the conveyor systems.
- Take a can-do attitude towards any given task, promote hard work, a flexible approach and the company DNA.
- Attend college full time for the first year of apprenticeship. After the first year, attend college one day per week.
- Achieve a pass or above in the college assessment.
Qualifications
Candidates must have achieved 4 GCSE's at grade 4 or above.
